(2) 1991 VW Jetta Diesels up for grabs. My wife calls it a "guy car". I call it the most reliable and fuel efficient car I've ever owned. But I bought a Passat wagon so the twins gotta go. This 2DR is registered, roadworthy, emissions compliant and gets mpg in the mid 40s. It has the normally aspirated 1.6L diesel in excellent running condition and 5 speed manual transmission. 4 speaker AM/FM/CD, nice new sunroof. No A/C. You won't win any beauty pageants with this one but that's not why it's my daily driver either. It gets you where you want to go, fast and cheap, every time. The RF fender is banged up (a new pre-primed one costs ~$138) but the whole car has just been painted, fender and all. Average dings, dents, wear and tear and no bondo. I've owned the car since 2007. In addition to scheduled maintenance I've replaced : tires, springs, shocks, bearings, L ball joints radiator, belts, hoses, expansion tank, cooling fan battery, alternator, starter P/S pump exhaust windshield tow hitch and trailer wiring a bunch of stuff I probably forgot to write down The 4DR has become a driveable parts car after an encounter with a deer. I still drive it around and It also runs great and needs very little other than ~$750 in readily available body parts and your labor. No mechanical damage from the accident; the A/C still works fine too. The interior and trunk on this car are unbelievably clean. Factory retractable sunroof. I was considering swapping the parts from the 2DR to rebuild this car but decided to buy a Passat wagon instead. This 4DR is FREE to the winning bidder!
