1980 Toyota HJ45 Troopie. I lived in Costa Rica and bought this and drove it as my daily driver there. It has the model H diesel engine 6 cyl, 4 speed gearbox, and transfer case. I had the injectors rebuilt and the parking brake repaired to pass the Costa Rica license inspection. I am the 3rd owner, last guy was 15 years in San Jose so not down by the coast. It has the normal rust spots on the body. Frame and under are very sound. It has factory power brakes and non power steering. The previous owner repainted it the blue it is and I think its the origional color. It has 4 brand new tires on it I just put on before I came home in August. The miles are not accurate as the odometer doesnt move. The spedo works but jumps around. It has newer oil pressure gauge and the temp gauge in the dash works. Gas gauge dows not work. Has lock out hubs that work fine. It is a tank. I have all the import paperwork and will come with a bill of sale. Truck is located in Indian Rocks Beach Florida 33785. If I had the time and money, I would restore it but I have too many things going on so am going to sell. My guess the engine needs going thru due to a light tapping and the oil pressure starts out hi and when it is operating temps, it drops down. It does need glow plugs which u can buy on ebay and there is a place in Atlanta you can get all the engine parts. An overhaul kit is around 900.00 with everything. Has recent clutch master and slave cylinder.
