Vehicle Detail
This is a beautiful 73 Espada II. I think that the white/black exterior is the best looking color combination on this car. It has very low miles (actually 50K Km = 31 K miles), runs perfectly, and looks stunning. Here is a brief description: 1) Exterior: paint is next to perfect and glass is flawless as well. The car has the Miura knock-off wheels, which probably worth more than your Civic. 2) Interior: all perfect (seats, carpets), but not completely original (whatever was redone – it was done with high standards in mind). Gauges work (sometimes speedo needle get stuck). 3) Driving: the car starts and runs strong (actually too fast for most States). This is a true GT car designed for high-speed cruise and it is very comfortable, once you are seated. It is also a true ‘Macho’ car: you must be athletic to manage the clutch, gearshifts and turning the steering wheel (all synchros are fine but the clutch spring is strong). The series II do not have power steering – which makes the car less complicated, but turning the wheel requires more effort than your Buick. 4) History: The car was bought in Milan (1973) by the first owner who brought it to NJ and kept it until his estate sold it to me (a few years ago). He kept it in all original condition (all matching numbers) and serviced it on time. With me the car wasn’t driven much either and I enjoyed showing it to friends and occasionally driving it around the block. About a year ago it had a full service (synthetic oil + filter) and tune-up (plugs, carb cleaning and synch.). In summary, the Espada is the ultimate definition of Grand Turismo (GT) with its stunning styling and performance. To this day it is the lowest (in terms of height) production 4 seater! This particular Espada is a well preserved Lamborghini which, when new, was sold for the same price as the Miura. Now, Miura prices are rushing towards the $1M mark and many components on this car (including the engine) are the same. It has a clear title (on my name) and has a current CA registration. Currently the car is on consignment at a local showroom and you can visit their website at www.bhmotorcars.com (and finish the deal with them). For further info you can email to lamboguy@hotmail.com.
