Vehicle Detail
Thanks for looking. This is my Brother-In-Law’s 1987 Cadillac Allante. He bought it 2 years ago with the intention of fixing it up for a Sunday driver. It sat for a while with an inoperable fuel pump, which has since been replaced. The alternator, A/C compressor and Radiator are all recent replacements, as well. This car starts, runs, stops and drives. I know little else about it. I picked it up from his house and drove it 20 miles across town, to my house to list it for sale. The engine will need to be serviced, as there is a ‘service engine light’ aglow on the dash. The body on the car seems very straight. I found no signs of accident damage or dents on it. The paint is faded and the clear coat is powdered in several spots. The fiberglass hardtop is in good shape, with similar paint. The car is equipped with a folding top as well, but I’ve never seen it. It is reported to have a tear in it. The tires are in good shape, and the original spare is in the trunk. The interior needs attention. The leather seats have separated at a few of the seams. The carpeting has pulled away from the edges in a few spots. The sun visors droop. The dash is in good shape, and does not appear cracked (rare for AZ). Overall, the interior needs a deep detailing and repair to the seating surfaces. This is a complete car, but it has been sitting. It cannot be driven across country. It will need some servicing and refurbishing before it is nice once again. This car would be suitable for someone who wants to restore a good, relatively low-mileage example of a classic two-seat Cadillac, or someone who wants to invest some time, effort and mechanical skills to create a decent driver to keep or re-sell at a profit. In any case, this is not a show car or a drive-home-to-Boise car. This is a you-buy-it, you-own-it project car. I will assist the buyer in making shipping arrangements, but all expenses are the buyer’s. I will not deliver the car, but a local may make arrangements to pick it up. The plates are expired, and it needs servicing. I would not recommend driving it too far. Please remember that your bid is binding. You are not bidding on a chance to look at it, then decide if you want it. You are bidding to own it. My opening bid is low, and I have no reserve. The high bidder wins! I will list a required deposit, and that will be non-refundable. I rarely sell on E-Bay, and especially something this large. I have had bad experiences, and hope this transaction goes well. I have listed several photos, too. Email me with any questions and, again, thanks for looking
