1999 AM general H1 "real hummer" has 6.5L turbo diesel. 4l80E automatic transmission with OD. 4 passenger hardtop with mini truck bed. Has custom locking bed cover made from 3/16 thick aluminum diamond plate. Loaded with power options including heated windshield, cruise control, rear window defrost, power mirrors and windows. alarm, keyless entry. Has monsoon speakers with bass box factory oem coupled to an Alpine flip screen radio, Alpine 6 disc changer, DVD player, 2 TV screens, one on passenger sunvisor and radio flipscreen. xbox/psp video inputs, 110 plug in, Hella lights on brushguard wired to a factory toggle switch in the dash, $1800 brushguard, 80%+/- 37x12.50x16.5 goodyear tires on factory aluminum rims. CTIS in working order, hitch, brake controller, dual fuel tanks, rear head cooling kit, 3 new upper ball joints, gray box PMD/FSD with heatsink and remote mount kit running on #9 resistor, new ABS modulater, new vacuum pump and vacuum/ boost controller, new fuel lift pump. I have also added some dynamat sound deadening material to the engine cover under the dash and remote keyless entry system with alarm. I only have one key for the ignition and no key for the door locks but with the keyless entry this has never been a problem. The lights on the rear bumper are used as reverse lights and are wired to a factory toggle switch on the dash, 4 inch stainless steel tailpipe. The 6.5L turbo diesel is the best power and mpg you can get before you hit the H1 alpha duramax which costs $150,000. Beware early 6.2l diesels non turbo very low on power or an underpowered gas guzzling gas engine. My H1 has 114k miles on it and has been driven fairly regular. I just drove it 300 miles round trip at Christmas. I was told it was bought new by a member of the chicago bears football team. He traded it in, in 2001 with 12k miles. I bought it from what I beleive was the second owner which stated it had a new engine installed under warranty at around 15k miles due to the casting issue. A new revised casting motor was put in by AM General at that time. Runs and drives great. It is not a show car. I drive it when I want to rain, snow, or shine. I do keep it garaged. It could use a little paint work on the doors and top but shows well despite a couple blemishes pictured. The roof is in nice shape except for two spots above the pass front and the other picture is from above driver, spots are not bad but need some attention to ensure it does not get worse.
