Up for Auction is a Very Rare 1970 Mercury Cougar XR-7 Convertible with #s Matching 351W FMX Transmision with only 76,235 Original Miles, This cougar is from Oregon and is 99% Rust Free, The only rust is on the passenger side front floor board from a leaking heater core and lower passenger side rear quarter has some bubbling (see pictures), a new full lengh floor pan will be included, you can just use what is needed, the other floor pans are completely Rust-Free and also the frame rails and Torque boxes are very nice (pictures). very straight Original panels with no patches, Only a few minor repairable dents on the entire body. also there is a dent on the drivers side rear quarter extension but I will also include another extension to the winning bidder. the Engine Compartment is very clean, No rust on fender aprons or shock towers like most. The doors are very nice with perfect seems. Also has power steering, power disc brakes on the front and A/C which is a nice option on a convertible, not hooked up but is complete, the Interior will need to be redone due to the sun, also will need seat covers, carpet and a new top, but the top does function properly up and down with no problems, the headlights also stay down when car is turned off so there are No headlight vacuum issues, any questions please ask before bidding, I have a very low reserve on this car due to storage and will like to sell this week, a non-refundable $500 deposit is due through paypal following auction and the remaining balance in a cashiers check or cash when picking up car, I can help finding a transporter at a reasonable rate, just ask and I can get a quote within the day, this Cougar has lots of potential and needs minimal body work to be done, Good luck bidding!!!!
