Vehicle Detail
1979 Ford F100 Custom. Automatic transmission. Power steering, power brakes. 2WD. Regular cab, long bed. 302 V8 engine. I bought this truck in 2005. It has excellent potential as a restore project or as a daily driver with a little work. In 2006 the water pump and fuel tank were replaced. I drove this as a daily driver for about a year(was very reliable then and had a nice ride). It has been sitting in my driveway for about 2 1/2 years now. The exhaust was replaced in 2006 with a custom true dual flowmaster setup. It has low restrictive catalytic converters(which will pass PA emissions inspection.) 18" Hedman Big Wazoo exhaust tips with 4" outlets, running out the side behind the cab. It is EXTREMELY loud. Sounds great. It has 128,750 miles. Motor runs strong. Truck is blowing ALOT of smoke . I do not know what this is from(I am not much of a mechanic). The smoke is coming out the left exhaust pipe heavily and not much from the right side pipe. I have only started it and moved it around the yard over the last 2 yrs. The carburetor needs adjustment as it is running really rich. It has been stalling out when I put it in gear. The brakes are spongy (I believe they need bled.) The original color of the truck is a dark brown, however, I got tired of looking at it and decided to put a homemade paint job on it. It is currently dark blue with black stripes and center of hood and tailgate are black. Looks pretty good from a distance, looks so-so when upclose(I am far from a pro and I did this with spray cans in my driveway.) I never finished the inside, so it is still the original brown with tan vinyl interior. The seat has tears on the drivers side(see pics). Dash pad has 2 cracks(see pics). I have tried to include any rust spots and defects in the pictures. There is a spot on the drivers floorboard with rust thru. There is minor cancer on the drivers side wheel well. There are some small holes in the bed but it is still very solid. It has 15 x 7" American Racing chrome wagon wheels with 31 x 10.5" tires. The wheels are getting rather rusty and all 4 tires are badly dry rotted. The drivers side rear tire is flat. I have 2 spare tires on factory steel rims included. Those tires passed inspection in 2007(I took them off as soon as it passed inspection). Hood lock latch inside cab. Reverse lights are on a toggle switch setup. A common issue in this year truck, so rather than pay all the money out to fix, we wired up to a toggle switch(which does make it leagally pass PA inspection.) Clear PA title. I am listing this truck with no reserve. So highest bidder wins. I hate to see it go, but I cant afford to put money into it and I hate to see it just sit here. Buyer is responsible for arranging to have the truck picked up AT MY HOME in Hanover, PA 17331. I recommend a rollback or a trailor with a winch because I would not trust to try to drive it(see above description). Postal money order, or PAYPAL accepted for payment within 7 days of auction end. Feel free to email with questions. Hopefully I haven't missed anything in my description.
