Up for auction is a rare find. Here is a vintage 1966 Ford Mustang in complete solid original condition. This car was purchased new and used by one family! It was taken off the road, and put into a barn in 1986, never to be driven since! It is complete in every way, Great car for a restoration, as it is a solid complete foundation. . The interior is all original. The seats, carpet, dash, and console, are all original to the car. All in good shape! The car comes complete with the original Pony Interior! A well sought after option! The exterior needs little work. The driver's side lower quarter needs a patch and the floor (driver's side) needs a patch that is 11 X 3 inches. Otherwise, is a complete solid car. The car has all its original sheet metal (doors, hood, trunk, decklid, fenders, etc). The floor is original, and solid all around, except for the one 11 X 3 patch that needs to be welded in. The car has its usual dings and scratches that a car of this age would have, but still relatively straight. The frame is solid and straight, never in a major accident. Shock towers are solid. Torque box is solid. All frame rails are solid and straight. This is a complete numbers matching car! The drivetrain and all the metal are original and built with what was with the car. This car runs, but does not stop. I got the car running with an auxillary gas tank, as I didn't want to risk putting gas into the car's original tank (with corrosion, metal, varnish, and anything else that might be in there). I'm sure the gas tank needs a cleaning or replacement. The brake system does not work. Needs master cylinder, hoses, lines, and pad replacement.
