Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I am a licensed wholesaler offering trade in and off lease vehicles directly to the public. Buying from me can save thousands over buying from a dealership. By buying from my warehouse, you get out of paying for the expensive lot, salesmens salaries and all the other excessive charges that get passed on to you. These vehicles are offered just how they are traded. I test drive them and describe how they look, run and drive honestly and to the best of my ability. If you're right, you'll win. If you're wrong, someone else will win. It's that simple. Today we have a good looking 1997 BMW 328is coupe up for a NO RESERVE auction! It is presented in a very desirable black on black color combination and is fairly well optioned for a 3 series. Walking around the outside you will find it to be in above average condition for a vehicle of this age and miles. Of course, there are some rock chips on the hood and a scratch here and there including a long scratch on the passenger side. Remember, this is a 1997 not a 2007 so please be realistic. I have found no rust on this vehicle which is unusual for an older 3 series BMW. It has upgraded headlights with the illuminated halo's around the high and low beams. It has 8/2011 inspection stickers and I just put two brand new tires on it. The tires had good tread but I found a defect in the grooves of one which made it unsafe to drive so I replaced a pair so they would match. Inside, this is actually a pretty clean car. There are no signs of excessive wear on the seats, carpets or headliner. This car is pretty well equipped for a 3 series. In addittion to the usual power windows, locks, ect... this 328is has traction control, dual heated seats, dual power seats and a factory CD changer in the trunk (missing magazine). All electronics appear to be in good working order. Of course, there are a few pixels out in the information center. The airbag light is on in the dash. There is nothing I am aware of that is not working properly inside. The trunk is large and clean plus the seats fold down in the rear to allow for extra large objects. Mechanically the car is in good condition. It starts right up and runs smooth and quietly. The 2.8L inline six makes loads of power. I did notice that the valve cover gasket has a small leak which is common and not too expensive to fix if you choose to replace it. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts perfectly. The suspension is nice and firm and the steering is tight. The brakes stop the car without vibration. It drives strait down the road without issue. These cars are easy 250k mile cars if you take care of them. If you are looking for a reliable car to put some serious miles on then this is for you. Their highway fuel economy is excellent considering how fun they are to drive. Local buyers are welcome to come by and take a look at this or any vehicle in person.
