Vehicle Detail
RESTORED 1972 Porsche 914. Fresh Bahia Red professional high grade paint job in August 2010, Drew Slayton rebuilt 1.7 L Fuel Injected engine. Original 5-speed manual transmission with new clutch. NEW suspension, brakes, springs, shock absorbers, engine and transmission mounts. 2.0 stainless heat exchangers, exhaust system, Fuel Injection harness, starter, alternator, Optima battery, ignition switch, regulator, fuel pump, trunk, door, and targa seals, all carpets, fresh air fan motor, halogen headlights, new clutch cable, steel fuel lines in tunnel. New fiberglass bumpers and rocker covers. Great sound from new Pioneer AM/FM/CD with Blaupunkt speakers in new fiberglass housings and subwoofer in new center console with new VDO gauges. The original Pedrini alloy wheels were blasted and clear coated. No air conditioning -- it is a Targa! This car starts and runs great and it handles like it is on rails. There are NO LEAKS from the engine. The entire car is very clean inside and out. Reasonable offers considered, including possible trade for pickup truck or SUV. I have a lot more photos and would be happy to email them. On Dec-30-10 at 09:02:52 PST, seller added the following information: In response to several recent questions, mostly from Bimbo29732, who has seen and driven the car: Engine compression is 150-155 psi in all cylinders Yes, the car is also for sale locally and I do reserve the right to sell it for cash The area known as the "Hell Hole" has zero rust and the battery tray is new. I do have some spare parts that I intend to include with the car including some FI parts and a Bosch factory rebuilt alternator still in the box. The dash is a new "Coverlay" made specifically for the 914 The car includes an original jack and a spare tire. The tires are decent and the correct size, but nothing special. The air cleaner is the original steel housing converted from wet to a dry paper element. Everything works. The original windshield washer is intact.
