Vehicle Detail

The listed car is a 1992 Saab 900S convertible with 107800 miles. It is located in Windsor Heights, Iowa (suburb of Des Moines). Up until October 1, 2010, I was driving this as a commuter car for my work that required significant travel. In October I took a new job that requires me to haul medical equipment and this Saab is not conducive for equipment transport. It has been parked in my drive covered since October 1. I bought this car from a friend in Georgia and brought it to Iowa in December of 2009. The car saw very little road time on the sand and salt of Iowa's winter roads. The title does show a status of "previous salvage". Please see the photo of the top of the vehicle title for specific status as declared on the title. The tins are all in good shape and only a small part of the trunk has any rust. The convertible top is in poor condition and needs to be replaced. I have found replacement tops for $400-1000, and self installation seems to be fairly easy if you can follow directions. The rear window is intact and that tends to be an expensive and hard to replace item. Mechanically the car has been well maintained and has run like a champ. There is a short in the radio that causes it to go on and off. The interior is fair. The leather seats in the front are cracked and some of the upholstered door trim is starting to come loose. Finally, this car has been sitting in my driveway almost two months and the battery is dead. This being said the buyer may, or may not have to tow, haul, dolly, push, or transport this car off my property. I don't have time to mess with trying to charge the battery, and I don't have a charger. This car is being sold AS IS, AS OF RIGHT NOW. Finally, I would appreciate it if the buyer would remove the car from my property before doing any repairs, if needed. (I know this sounds funny, but I sold a truck and the buyer thought he was going to fix it in my garage, stay at my house, and expected a ride to and from the local airport and parts store.) THERE IS NO RESERVE and FINAL PAYMENT is due within 24 hours of the end of the sale. Pickup of the car is to be completed within 7 days of the end of the listing.
