Hello people, i have this car sitting at the end of my driveway and let's be honest i can't afford to fix it so it's probably best to sell it to someone who can make better use of it. It's a 1995 Volvo 850 Turbo sedan, Automatic, Fully loaded with sunroof and leather interior, power everything, heated seats etc. I would say it's definitely a project car in it's current state or maybe could be used for parts if you already own one of these cars. The Bad: It makes a horrible clunking noise from the passenger side even going over the slightest bumps. I'm pretty sure it's the struts and/or the struts mounts. When you turn the fan on the blower motor makes an annoying whistling noise, kind of like an airplane taking off when turned on Max. The passenger side front window won't go down. All the other windows work. The headliner is sagging in the rear. The battery is completely dead and won't hold a charge, have to jumpstart to get it started. The a/c doesn't work. there is a leak somewhere. Alot of smoke out the exhaust on startup but goes away after driving around for a few minutes. The car is currently stuck in winter mode, this happened after i tried replacing the window switch to see if it would fix the passenger window (it didn't). so maybe i just forgot to plug the switch back in or the switch needs to be replaced. The reverse lights only come on if you jiggle the shifter. The odometer is stuck at 155,007 There is an oil leak and it appears to be coming from the turbo (possibly related to the smoky startup?) There is an exhaust leak, it's not that loud and it's not from the muffler, i think it's from just after the cat kind of in the middle of the car. The radio lights are all out, probably just needs new bulbs. The glovebox is stuck closed, i don't think i can get it open without breaking it so i just left it alone. The wipers on the headlights don't work at all. Now you see why i'm calling this a project car. Quite a few things to fix. The Good: Amazingly enough, you can drive this car home. It does NOT need to be towed. It drives fine on the highway. Also, other than the exhaust leak, it may pass state inspection, also the intermittent reverse lights could be a problem. I had the windshield replaced and put 4 good tires on it. Everything else not mentioned is working fine. Surprisingly the sunroof works and doesn't leak.
