Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This 1972 Chevy ¾ ton four wheel drive has been in my family since July 1996, it was fully restored in 1995. My parents had it parked in a heated garage since they purchased it with an odometer reading of 11,932. This is not original miles (most likely it was 111,932) but they had the truck for 12 years. I bought it from them in October 2008 with an odometer reading of 21,000 miles. In 12 years, they drove it 9,000 miles. I do not believe there were 11,932 miles put on the truck between restoration and my parents buying it because the restoration was completed December 1995. The truck now has 26,700 miles on it (or 126,700). The truck has a 350 engine with a quadra-jet carburetor. The automatic transmission is a turbo 350. The ignition system is HEI so no more fooling with points and setting dwell. It has power steering and brakes with the fronts being disc brakes. The four wheel drive system has lock out hubs. It has a 2” lift kit on it using add a leaf springs along with a class 3 hitch and trailer brakes. The wheels are eight lug (standard for a ¾ ton). The dash has not been cut to fit a radio. The rear window does have a sliding window. I have the build sheet and new vehicle warranty card from 1972 with the protect-o-plate attached (see photos) and date of sale (2/5/72). The Lund visor was installed in 1996 along with the matching cap. The tires were installed at 18,255 miles. When I bought it, the carburetor needed rebuilt and I had to put a new battery in it. There are two areas on the box where the plastic bed liner has rubbed the paint (see photos) and one area where the cap has rubbed the cab. If I were going to keep the truck, I would put a spray in bed liner to cover all this up. The reason I am selling this truck is space, I have two boys (11 and 9). The standard cab does not give us enough room when we go hunting. If you have any questions or would like more pictures please call me at (240) 527-4832. Please do not call after 9:30pm EST.If you are the winning bidder and live within 200 miles I can drive the truck to you. Thank you.
