Vehicle Detail
1966 Porsche 912R More pictures of the car can be found on our website, www.sdcvr.com and http://sdcvr.smugmug.com/Kayla You are looking at a 1966 Porsche 912. A few modifications here and there, she starts right up and drives like a 912 should. Need a trackday car or a weekend racer? This might be for you... Exterior Fairly straight body, with a lesser quality respray on the exterior several years ago. Some dings, scratches here and there. Definitely not a show car, but that is not what this 912 is all about. All lights, signals work and are original to the car. All glass is original as well, with the exception of the passenger side glass which was replaced with Plexiglass in an attempt at saving weight. Interior Simple, basic, black. Original black vinyl seats are in great condition. Basic black carpeting front and back, black vinyl door panels. Rear seat was removed for weight. No frills up here... just the tachometer and steering wheel to keep you company. You're lucky you're getting the passenger seat for your girl to ride in! Mechanics Powered by a Type1 1835cc engine mated with a Type1 late model IRS 4 speed transmission, this 912 moves quickly. Starts right up and drives well. Suspension is tight, shes been dropped 3" front and back. Front brakes are rebuilt 911 calipers and rotors with new pads. Out back, VW calipers and rotors with new pads. Stock fuel tank, new wiring here and there. Just the basics for burning up the track. There is no reserve, so bid to win. Prospective buyers/bidders are welcome to inspect/drive the 912 before bidding/buying BEFORE the end of the auction. After the auction, it's time to PAY UP!
