Cortina GT Project British Built 2 Door Sports Car NO RESERVE AUCTION Lowered entry bid to stimulate bidder interest Barn-find with mostly original paint Disc Brakes, 4 cyl Engine, Manual Trans Would make great vintage race car / hill climb car I am selling this car for a friend. You are looking at a rare British build Ford Cortina GT 2 door sports car. Unsure if this is a 68 or 67 model. This has been sitting for several years. This is a fairly complete neat little car. All the body panels have great fit and gap alignment. Most of the paint on the car looks to be original. The trim and stainless on the car is in excellent shape (I have the missing rocker trim molding on the passenger side) - the grill, side moldings, window moldings all look to be in good shape. The engine is a 4 cyl, I have not tried to start or turn it over. It has a factory looking header pipe on the engine. The floors under the body of the car are in great shape as you can see in the pictures with the carpet up. The console is in decent condition. The bucket seats need some help. there is a small amount of rust under the hood on the top of the radiator support area, see pictures. Also in the trunk there is some rust in the trunk floor. The rear wheelhouses look good but behind the wheelhouses on both sides need some metal repair and attention. This car has factory disc brakes on it. The drivers side door panel is off and in the trunk, it was wet at some point and pretty much shot. Looks like the drivers side door window regulator is missing. This would make a great little hill climb car or vintage race car. I do not have title for this car so it is being sold with a bill of sale only. I welcome you to come insect this car at our shop. This car will need to be towed or trailered, it does not run in its present condition. Shipping is your responsibility to make all the arrangements, will help load on my end. Cash or certified check is required for balance within 1 week of auctions end. A bank wire transfer is also acceptable.
