Vehicle Detail
Here's a really nice piece of BMW history. This car has been in the same family since new and only has 114K miles on the clock. I took her for a nice 45 minute road test last night and they don't make em' like this anymore. The car still feels nice and safe and very solid at all speeds. This 30 year old Ultimate Driving Machine shifts great and the car is really fun to drive. I remember these cars when they came out and although this car is not a brand new one, it's a testament to the quality and engineering that BMW puts into every car. The car was repainted at some point in the rare & original BMW Henna Red, (Burnt Orange). The paint is still very nice and glossy on the car, but not perfect. It has a bit of bubbling on the bottom panel behind the passenger side door and a few other minor imperfections. (See pic) Overall, this is a very nice driver quality car that is mostly all original and accident free! The engine is very strong on the car and there are BF Goodrich Precept Touring tires with 75% tread-life left. The black leather on the back seats is still very nice, but the front seats are worn out so we put some seat covers on the car. The car is very nice and these are getting hard to find. With a little effort and TLC this could be around for another 30 years. The a/c is not functioning but we believe it is because the plastic panel that holds the unit into the dash is loose. It does not appear to be a hard fix if you're mechanically inclined. The car has been meticulously maintained and recent service includes, new radiator, new exhaust system, new belts, new battery and all fluids. The car runs great! Other than that, there's not much more to talk about. The car is extremely mechanically sound, the car does not leak oil, all the power windows and sunroof function, and it's a great piece of BMW history about to celebrate its 30th birthday. So if you want a really cool looking, fun driving fantastically engineered automobile, here you go! This is a no reserve auction and the high bidder wins. I would personally not be afraid to drive this car anywhere. It drives and feels great. Please email me with any questions you may have or if you need any more photos. Best of luck and Happy Holidays!
