Vehicle Detail
1970 Chevelle two-door hard top; it has original 350 engine; automatic transmission; factory air. This car is a 100% completely assembled car as found, in need of complete restoration. Overall condition is consistant with most Chevelles, with rust in the usual places. This means...rust through quarters, trunk floor, bottoms of fenders, lower rear corners of rear window, outer rear wheel housings, and a 98% replacement of the interior. THIS IS A RESTORATION CAR...not a sign & drive unit. The car is available for viewing by appointment...please email or phone 717-786-8809...we are located 6 miles south of Lancaster city. Thanks for looking! This auction listing does not include any extra parts (as previously advertised on the classified listing). The car comes with 4 (plus 1 spare in the trunk) plain stamped steel wheels. On Dec-17-10 at 18:35:09 PST, seller added the following information: Additional information, per request: Car was originally titled in PA on November 1969; car still retains PA title (which is clear & we have in our posession for new owner). Car is a Baltimore built unit with original Towanda engine, a 350 cubic inch with 2 barrel carb rated at 250 hp. Original body color is either aster or fathom blue with bright blue interior. Floors & rockers are in very good condition. Front fenders are straight enough to be possible restoration candidates. The belt lines and all door and body panel gaps are nearly as straight as left factory, giving us the feeling that this car has never been hit. Frame is straight and structurally sound. A small group of pinholes inside the frame rail at the rear axel radius exist. When struck with a ball peen hammer no deformation of the metal was seen. Can be easily plated and/or repaired. I do have available (for additional purchase price) a four speed big block F41 frame that came out of Memphis. For restoration the car will need: trunk floor, outer wheel housings, trunk floor drop off panels, rear quarter skins or full quarter panels (you be the judge), trunk fit and operation is fine, all original glass is still in car minus one piece, even still retains two T-3 headlights. Car ran when purchased 4 years ago...has been in indoor storage since. We welcome anyone to come and look at the car or contact us by phone for any additional information. Thanks for asking!
