Vehicle Detail
The Mercedes-Benz "W123" cars were produced by the German manufacturer from 1976 to 1985. The 250T (Touring/Estate) is among the models that could only be purchased in Europe and, according to collectors, is extremely rare in the United States. We are the second owners of this beautiful wagon and purchased it from the daughter of the original owner, who imported the car from Germany many years ago and kept the vehicle covered in his garage, only taking it out on the road on special occasions. Not a car to be driven anonymously, the attention grabbing and original Caledonia Green paint coordinates with the well-preserved green leather & fabric interior, which has no cracks, tears, or stains (afternoon shadows are present in the photos). Extremely dark window tint has surely helped the preservation. Rare 4-speed manual transmission/gasoline. Gets good gas mileage and handles nicely on the road, and, to our knowledge, has been serviced by the same Mercedes specialist for its entire life. As a low mileage classic in excellent condition, our cost to insure the vehicle is $8/month (full coverage). The wagon goes by many names in our historic neighborhood, the green bean, sweet pea, etc., and will be missed when it is reluctantly delivered to a new owner! Although the vehicle's condition seems too good to be true, here are items we are aware need repair: the windshield wipers only engage by using the wiper fluid lever, the AC blows cool (not cold), the left rear tail light has a small crack, and there exists a less then 1/2 hairline crack on the far right side of the dashboard. The carburetor was rebuilt and the fuel pump replaced early on in our ownership. No other repairs have been needed. Important to note that the wagon is being sold where-is and as-is, with original manuals and a history file included. Please email with any questions (which will be answered quickly and honestly) or if you would like more detailed photos before bidding. US $500 deposit is required to be paid from the winning bidder within 24 hours of auction close. Payment in full is required within 7 days of the auction close. Buyer is responsible for shipping/pick-up. Thanks for looking at our auction!
