Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I am a licensed wholesaler offering trade in and off lease vehicles to the public. I list all of my cars with NO RESERVE. Each car goes to the highest bidder. I describe each vehicle honestly and accuartely to the best of my ability. I road test each vehicle before listing it. Please ask all questions before bidding and only bid once all of your questions/concerns have been completely addressed. Today we have a fairly rare 1995 Volkswagen Jetta GLX with the powerful 2.8L VR6 engine. It is finished in a very desirable black exterior with black leather interior. The outside of this Jetta is in great shape for its age. There are a few chips on the hood from highway driving and a scuff or two on the front bumper. There are no major scratches or dents anywhere. I have found no rust on the body or under the car. The factory BBS wheels are still in nice shape and are wearing nice rubber. It is inspected through 4/2011 for safety and emissions in PA. The trunk is clean and has gobs of space. It's hard to find a MK3 VW with a body in this condition. Inside, the interior is in outstanding condition for a 95. The black leather seats are in excellent condition with no cracks, rips or holes to be found. The carpets, headliner and door panels are in great shape. All of the electronics are in vorking order. The plastic piece by the ignition and hazard light switch is broken. The leather is coming apart on the shifter. The airbag light is on. Again, it is very rare to find a MK3 with an interior this clean. Just look at the photos to see how nice this exterior and interior of this Jetta is! I didn't even wash it or vacum it out for the pictures... This Jetta drives great, too! The suspension and steering are tight. Driving at highway speeds there are no vibrations or shaking. The 2.8L VR6 engine still makes tons of power. In fact, if you crack it open in first from a roll it will still break the tires loose! This Jetta will be sold as true miles unknown (TMU). The engine idles smooth and starts right up. There is no smoke or leaks from the engine. It makes great power. The transmission is another story...it will drive anywhere but it leaks fluid from inside the bell housing. The leak may be a seal or something easy but either way the trans has to come out to find out. The clutch feels good. The shifter has excessive play due to old bushings. It still shifts very well but the shifter moves more than it should. The transmission leaks out pretty fast. If you are a local buyer, it can probably be driven an hour or so. Otherwise I would trailer it to be safe. I have done some research and have found several transmissions for around $400 here on ebay with warranties. I have been a VW nut since I was 16. I've had a 91 GLI, 97GLX, 86 Callaway Turbo, two Corrado's and more GTI's than I can count. I love these cars and hope this one goes to an enthusiast like myself. The body and interior are so nice, I can't stand the thought of parting it out. It's clean inside and out, it has no electronic issues and the stereo is a Sony and sounds great. Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions. I normally encourage personal visits and test drives but I have to make an exception with this one. Anyone is welcome to come look at it and hear it run but I don't want it driven until it goes to its new home to preserve the transmission in case the leak is easily fixed.
