Vehicle Detail
Hi, first off, this is a 1967 Cutlass not a 442 or F85. It has the correct 442 badges in correct locations and a 442 grill, Cutlass hood, and Cutlass S bumpers rechromed. This was intended to be a look alike not a clone, replica, or tribute. This is a rotisserie nut and bolt restoration by professionals. Mildly built 455 motor, new 4 barrel carb. Bored 30 over high compression pistons, ported heads, Moroso deep sump oil pan, high output oil pump, re-enforced main caps, high performance chain and gears, at a cost of $4,500.00.Trans was rebuilt to stock standards and is a turbo 400, and a new tork converter--cost $1,500.00. Ceramic coated Hooker headers, all new dual exhaust and baffled tailpipes, four core radiator, new heater core, new master cylinder, new power drum brakes front and rear and new brake lines, power steering, new gas tank and new sending unit, new U joints. A Posi rear highway gear and sway bar. Frame disassembled and sand blasted, catalyzed primer, black enamel. Reassembled with new body mounts, new ball joints, ty rod, A arm bushings, center link, sway bar ends, 4 new shocks, new inner and outer front wheel bearings, and new tires. All new interior except the dash pad. Convertible ribs sandblasted primed and painted. New convertible top with new hydraulic lines and motor. All new floor and braces front to back (Year One). Mig welded and smoothed on underside. Primed and undercoated inside. PPG paint products base coat clear complete. Car looks just as good underneath as on top. Damage on rear bumper needs to be repaired and rechromed. Needs trunk mldg. Rear end has a mild hum when it warms up. Radio and horn do not work. The restoration was done 4 years ago. Now the exhaust system has mild surface rust. Winning bidder has to pay a nonrefundable $500.00 deposit within 24 hours of the auction ending. All funds must be paid within one week of the auction ending.Added info: This car underwent a year and a half restoration---the labor cost alone would have cost you over 15,000.00---and another 10,000.00 in parts and materials. "Buy it now" is added and the reserve was lowered. Sold as is. no warranty.
