Vehicle Detail
70 Buick Wildcat convertible Good cond. Everyday driver shape. The Wildcat was the first Performance car Buick made and the 1970 Wildcat convertible was the most collectible. There were only 1244 of them made, the 70 model only came with the custom trim package. The engine was the new 455cid 370hp 510lb-ft from the factory. This is a matching #s car orig. eng. and trans. never been rebuilt and runs and drives great.NO SMOKE AND NO RATTLES NO MAJOR LEAKS but it's a 1970 model with orig. equip. so there is going to be a drip or two from time to time. When I bought the car in 1999 the title i got had 27,696 mile on it, listed as actual mileage. There is only an additional 13,585 miles on the car now. When I got the car I put new Dual exhaust, ball joints, drag link, tie rod ends, rocker arm rail on drivers side it had a slight tap but not any more, i have the other side still in the box goes with car. At around 10,000 miles later i put new tires, rear shocks, i also have the front shocks new in boxes but never installed they go with the car. Less than 1000 miles ago i put new exhaust manifold to head gaskets, new belts, and hoses, and interstate megatron battery. The convertible top is in good cond. no tears or holes stitching is also good, motor and framing for top work as they should, rear window is glass. It has p/s, p/w, tilt column, p/b, and cold air. Now for the things you will eventually want to repair to bring her all the way back, the rear quarter panels have been repaired very little bondo and perfectly straight nice pro job just didn't repaint with matching color it's close but you can see in the pic's it's darker but still a very nice job on the panels. They had long but very shallow and narrow dents. You will be able to see color difference in pics. To me it looked like someone tried to back into a spot that was 6 ft wide in a car that was 6 ft 1 in wide. the trunk had two rust holes behind wheel wells that rusted threw one has been fixed the other still needs to be done about the size of a baseball. the only rust on exterior of car there are a couple of very small spots maybe about 1/4 inch by a couple of the moldings , one small dent by front drivers corner where i pulled in the garage to far shortly after i bought the car, i will also try to highlight those problems in the pics.the top of the fan shroud is broken but doesn't make it run hot, and the fuel gauge works intermittently i think it's a ground wire on top of fuel tank I've already check the wiring and gauge and they work fine. Also needs front grille emblem . The car runs and drives good i wouldn't have a problem jumping in and driving to California and back. All she really needs is someone to take care of her again and i just don't have the time have a new mistress now, refitting a 1970 Chris craft commander 47ft to retire on. Good luck and do me a favor if you win her take care of her i really love this car.
