I bought this car on ebay about 3 mouths ago and it is up for sale. The reason for the sale is that, being an older man I feel I would look rediculous driving this car around, its a beautiful car, I feel this car would stand out, I don't care to be noticed when driving. My family had a TR-3 in the sixes and thought I would like this, but I'm not into antique cars. The man I bought this from said he was the second owner, purchased it in 1971. In 1983 he said the engine was removed and completely reworked and reinstalled. Then the car was taken to a body shop where it was restored. Some parts were replaced, rocker panels, front apron also new bumpers ect. It was repainted red at that time. He said the car was stored and not used in some time. The car shows very well, could'nt find many marks on the finish, paint is still shiny. Interior is very good, seats were redone and are very nice. Underneath was undercoated at some time and could'nt find any rust. The only negative on the body some of the chrome should be renewed to make the car A+, headlite rims, lettering(triumph) but most of the chrome is good. The car is not perfect, there are a few flaws. If the car has not been started over a week it is difficult to start. The carbs need to be rebuilt. It restarts fine. The transmission shifts fine and no slippage in the clutch. I have not driven the car on the road since its not licensed, so I don't know how it drives. The electrics mostly work except one rear directional signal and the speedometer doesn't work so true milage is unknown. Call to see car at 585-227-4822, best time after 6pm and ask for Larry.
