For Sale a 1940 Buick Special 2dr Business Coupe that has been in our heated classic car storage area for over ten years awaiting our restoration. We began restoration some time ago by having both the front and rear bumpers and the bumper guards chromed. The engine, transmission, and rear ends operated properly so we did not try to fix what was not needed. The front wheel brakes were given new linings. The body did not have any dents in it and the two tone paint was also in good condition. The stainless steel body trim was in good condition except for the piece between the grill halves is now missing. The headlights, parking and turn signal lights, tail, and dash lights all work. All of the dash gauges except the speedometer and radio all work. The chrome is begining to pitt on the grill and the front fender parking and turn signal lights. The car's interior needs complete restoration. The interior hardware handles are there and the front and rear seat floor areas are solid with only surface rust. The trunk is in good condition with minimal rust. The ignition switch has been replaced with a toggle switch resulting in the loss of the master key. The glass is all in good condition except for two small stone chips in the passenger windshild. This rare Buick coupe has been in storage for over ten years with just a few start ups prior to our present start up to get it running for sale so I expect some operational problems that usually appear after storage. This car does run and is in a solid condition with a fine appearance so should have a great potential if given a restoration.
