This Oldsmobile wagon has a loud knock in the engine that sounds like a lifter sticking. If you are handy and have the skills to repair an engine, this car would be great for you. I do not believe the noise is bearing related as I have driven it on two round trips totaling more than 2800 miles and the oil pressure still registers better than 50 lbs. Other than this problem the car is in excellent condition. This car is equipped with the V-8 engine and fuel injection, heavy duty suspension and also the trailer towing package. The tow package consist of limited slip rear end with a lower ratio axel, heavy duty radiator with transmission cooler, engine oil cooling and a frame mounted hitch receiver with wiring hook up. It is designed to tow 5000lbs. Some other accessories includes A/C, P/S, P/B(anti lock), P/W, P/L/, P/Ms, glass Vista Roof with sun blocker shades, third seat, factory roof rack and leather interior. The following items have been replaced within the last year. New Heavy Duty radiator - engine accessories belt – battery -transmission fluid and filter. The transmission is in excellent shape as are the accessories with the exception of the P/Ws which will require replacing them on their track. This is a common problem on GM cars of this era. The driver seat bottom cushion could also be adjusted. The tires are in great shape and have over half of their treads left, exhaust system is in good shape and the car drive excellently. All lights, instruments and wipers work correctly and the top of the dash does not have any rips, tears or cracks. The dash has all instruments and includes tachometer. This car has been well maintained. I have included many pictures that I believe will help you decide if this auto is for you, but be advised that the car is being sold as is and I have tried to list what is wrong it to the best of my knowledge.
