1992 Toyota Supra Truck The factory 22RE four cylinder has been replaced with a 1989 Toyota Supra 7MGTE turbo engine. It is an inline 6 cylinder with double overhead cams and 4 valves per cylinder. Some of the mods to the engine include .020 over JE forged pistons, ARP heads studs, main studs, and rod bolts. The entire bottom end of the engine was balanced. Blown head gaskets are a common problem to the 7MGTE engine so a metal HKS head gasket was used. The block and the cylinder head were surfaced to ensure that the metal head gasket sealed properly. The cylinder head was also treated to a 3-angle valve job and a professional port and polish job with the ports being matched to the gaskets. 7MGE non-turbo cams were used which are good for approximately 10 hp over the turbo cams. My wife loves the 2JZ-Srunner, so we wanted to have her one built. Uh...well then the power got out of hand for the little woman, so we purchased her a more friendly ride. The body and undercarriage are in super shape. Your usual scratches and dings from life as a truck. Just needs a good home to finish it off with one little spot of bodywork in the back left corner and new paint. Ok... maybe some traction bars should be on that "to-do" list...lol. The truck is a rocket as it sits. However, the motor is built to handle so much more power (bigger turbo, injectors, standalone etc.) if your pockets are plump and you desire to spin through the final 3 gears. You will not be disappointed with this purchase. I'm realistic that we'll be losing money as one does with most sales of these kind. Hint: the reserve is set much lower then the website asking price.
