This is a 1966 Datsun truck body and frame only. I’ve had this truck inside a dry climate controlled shop since 1996. I was going to recreate the American Rickshaw as seen in one of the photo’s, which included a Big Block Chevy engine, a Powerglide, or B&M Hydro, an Olds/ Pontiac rear and gasser style straight axle. It would make a wild ride and a worthy project, but my time is limited. The book goes with the truck and is one of the Hot Rod Annuals that was produced in the early 70’s. What is here is the truck and frame along with a really clean bed, hood and fenders, grille, front bumper, (both would need rechromed), rear leaf springs and u-bolts, interior door and window handles, sun visors and a box of other miscellaneous items related to the truck; very minimal rust except for the floor boards. Apparently water stood under the mats and rusted the floor boards in the foot well area. The area under where the seat would be is fine. No rust in the doors or bed except for a small hole in the tailgate. As seen there is damage to the forward part of the right front fender, but it’s repairable. All windows and glass are in good shape. Window regulators also in good shape and windows roll up and down fine. There is no interior other than what you see. This truck can be made street legal as was my intention, but other than parts would not be good for restoration consideration. I have the clear Virginia Title for it. As far as other parts that are available but NOT going with this auction (unless we make a deal for the entire package); Big Block 454 four bolt main engine, (disassembled, but all there except intake and carb), and the ’57-‘63 Oldsmobile rear with brand new Richmond 3.64 gears and rebuilt original posi unit.
