Up for sale is a 1969 Porsche 912 sand beige with matching #s, and 5 speed transmission, that I just finished a complete restoration from the ground up. The car started out as a rust free car, very clean and very original, with very little rust corrosion on the lower passenger door. I had the rust removed and professionally patched the spot. The car was in fair to good condition when I bought it, but today it is in pristine condition with show quality restoration. I have pictures of all work that was done if requested. Vin # 129021942 Engine # 4094944 Trans # 5190147 902/05 paint code 6807 mileage 40719 EXTERIOR When I bought the car it was wearing its original color paint, with a few dings and scratches. So the car was disassembled removing all stainless trims, glasses, bumpers, deco, lights F/R, and any and everything that would get in the way of doing a professional paint job. The car was then sanded and all dings and scratches were removed and professionally repainted with its original color sand beige code (6807 ). Then, color sanded and buffed and reassembled with all new window seals, polish stainless, new front/rear window trims, new deco all around, new headlight seals, new H4 headlights, all new body seals. INTERIOR The interior was originally black leatherette. I had the interior redone in genuine brown perforated leather on the seats. Leather on the dash, leather on the door panel, new carpet, new headliner. All gauges were cleaned and refurbished. Seat rails were refurbished, shifter was re-bushing, brake pedal cluster was re-bushing. SUSPENSION All suspension was removed and powder coated, new bushing was installed and then replaced. Koni shocks f/r, new ball joint, new brakes f/r, new brake lines all around, new rotor f/r, new tires f/r. riding on refurbished fuchs 6j x 15 f/r, Tires are Riken 205/ 60R / 15, all wheels balanced and aligned. DRIVE TRAIN The engine was removed and completely rebuilt with valve job, with new valve guide, new oil pump, new 86mm big bore kit making it a 1720cc engine.The transmission is 5 speed and shifts through all gears smoothly with no issues. The solex carburetors were replaced with Weber carburetors. The original solex air cleaners were refurbished and reused. The sheet metal and air cleaners were gloss black powder coated, and every nut, bolt, and line was sent out for cadmium plating. Nothing was carried over. Every single component was either powder coated, cad plated, zinc plated, or brand new out of the box. The drive train and suspension is immaculate and worthy of show. Every single piece of rubber is new, every bushing, line, hose, clamp, nut, bolt, screw, bearing and anything else I am missing was all redone. Everything on the engine, transmission or suspension was powder coated, gold cad plated, silver zinc plated, or came fresh out of the bag or box. Seeing the photos taken of the undercarriage will give you an idea of how close to new the whole thing is. Inspections are welcome prior to completion of sale.
