Vehicle Detail

Here’s a fun car for a Pontiac enthusiast….. A 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge Convertible Clone!! I recently purchased a number of cars from the estate of a noted collector in Florida and each will be offered on Ebay over the coming weeks. This is a 1969 Pontiac Tempest Convertible that a previous owner converted into a GTO Judge convertible. When I first came across this car my jaw dropped as it looked like a true GTO Judge convertible that had sat in a warehouse for 25 years!! It has a lot of rare and desirable options such as a manual transmission, in-dash tach and gauges, tilt wheel, power top, console, hideaway headlights, and more. The car sat in the enclosed warehouse/museum of the previous for an unknown period of time and is now in my warehouse in California. I have a clear Florida title that has been signed over to me by the estate and now the vehicle is ready for a new owner. Here are the details as best as I can tell: Body: The car is basically complete but would need a full restoration to be like new. The Frame appears to be in good condition as does most of the body panels. The floors, body panels, cowl area, hood, lower front valance, fenders, doors, trunk are in generally good condition but there is evidence of various body repairs that were not completed. There are also a few areas of rust that need to be adressed on the hood and underside of the trunk lid. There are also some evidence of rust (pin holes) on the trunk floor and floor pans. The top frame has some rust areas and it will need a new canvas top. I am also unsure of the condition of the power top pump and mechanical components of the vehicle in general. In other words, the car will need basic body work to all areas if you plan to do a full restoration and there may be other items to tend to as well. I am also uncertain to what extent other body work may have been done previously. There are a few extra chrome strips and other items in the trunk that go with the car. All glass appears to be in good shape and a new rear spoiler goes with the car. I have not attempted to start the car so I am unsure of the condition of the drivetrain. The VIN tag is in place on the dash and reads: 235679B609449 The Trim Tag is in place and reads: ST 69 23567 BAL 588678 BDY TR 248 52 B PNT O7C Interior: The dash pad, seat covers, door panels and carpet is in worn condition and may need attention. The car will basically need a complete new interior if you plan to restore it. Engine/Transmission and Ram Air Parts: The engine and drivetrain appears complete. The code on the engine block is X7, which appears to equate to a 1970 Pontiac 350 engine. Again, I do not know if or how the engine and other mechanical components operate. Summary: This is would be a great car to have fun with. The look, stance and options all make this car look like the real deal. Of course it not real and a clone, but it's not priced like a real Judge convertible either. Sold in AS-IS Condition: I want to be very clear about this car. This car may need a lot of work and I am certain there may be missing, damaged or other parts that will need to be purchased or repaired to make it complete. It may need interior parts, body work, possible rust repair, trim pieces, weatherstrips and other unknown items. Restoration work appears to have been started by the previous owner(s) but it was not completed. I have NO HISTORY on the car. That said, this vehicle is being sold in absolutely AS-IS condition with no warranty of any kind whatsoever and the sale is final. There is no expressed or implied warranty as to the condition or completeness of the vehicle. Inspections are welcomed and I will do my best to answer any questions you may have. High bidder will be responsible for pick-up and transportation at their expense which must occur within 3 weeks of purchase. Payment for vehicle must occur in full within three (3) business days via wire or cashier’s check. On Nov-20-10 at 08:58:47 PST, seller added the following information: For those of you who have asked, yes the original color is Matador Red (Code 52) with Black interior (code 248) as indicated on the trim tag. Also, yes the engine is complete, has a normal oil level and my guess is that it will run once fresh fuel and a tune-up is done. However, that is my honest opinion and not a guarantee. I do not have a battery. Lastly, keep in mind that any inspections must be completed prior to auction ending. Once the auction has ended and the reserve has been met the sale is final as stated above. On Nov-21-10 at 16:14:12 PST, seller added the following information: I actually tried starting the car yesterday and the engine kept turning over trying to start but it's out of gas.
