Up for sale in beautiful southwest,Florida is a pristine and original classic Porsche 944 Turbo with original & documented low mileage.This car has had only 2 previous owners and always a Ft.Myers Florida, Porsche. No stories here, this Porsche was never a theft recovery/stolen,not involved in a collission,no odometer discrepencies like with so many of the other cars.Also,the chain of ownership is consistent for 23 years and verified as a local Ft. Myers, Florida car.Check the autocheck score and vehicle history for yourself,you will be hard pressed to find one that scores better than my car does and it scores that well for a reason. Also,this car has all prior service records,owners/service manuals and original bill of sale with addendum.Original sale price in 1987 $ 38,564.00 Furthermore,the history of the car is that it was manufactured at the Neckarsulm Audi plant in Germany and took a ride on either the Rhine,the rail or intermodal carrier until it got to the Rotterdam port.Maybe Bremer but unlikely since that is much further North.I was a study abroad Architecture student in Germany in 1990 and besides chipping pieces off the Berlin wall I got to visit these plants and see these cars in the process of manufacturing and distribution it was really neat. It is what made me fall in love with the 951. Next,from there it arrived in Virginia at PCNA and then transported new to the Collection Porsche & Audi in Miami,Fl in November 1987, However,the salesmans business cards are still in the Porsche leather owners manual pockets indicating Val Ward Porsche & Audi in Ft.Myers,Fl .Therefore, I am assuming that it was a new car dealer swap or pulled from this store as a special order for a picky Ft. Myers customer,common with a special options and colors. In addition,according to the service receipts, the timing belt was replaced at 43,500 miles.The hoses, brake master cylinder,clutch clave cylinder were replaced at this time and the car just received a complete tune up as well.The clutch is nice and tight with no problems in any gear,No slippage on boost and No grinding in between shifting. Moreover,as with most of these cars the power steering rack was also replaced.No fluid leaks on this car! Additionally, the brakes are new and the car received 4 Kumho Ecsta performance tires and 17" Porsche 993 lightweight Cup wheels with handpainted crest wheel caps.The rear tire sizes are 255/45/17 and front tires are 215/50/17,a great street setup.I have the original phone dial wheels with original center caps and Fulda tires as well and the rims are MINT.I will include them to the highest bidder. The interior is literally like new with no visible dash cracks or leather tears,stains or fading. All controls have good graphics and color.The original Blaupunkt Reno tape player was replaced with a new Panasonic am/fm/cd player with eq.Also,the upgraded seats have the porsche script lettering instead of the usual boring leatherette perforated centers.The original Porsche air pump,plastic gloves,jackstand and tool kit, in addition, to the unused spare tire is also included with the car. The exterior paint color is a unique dealer option/upgrade and is known as flamingo metallic, the finish has a brilliant shine with no fading,no rust or dents. This Porsche performs well and the boost comes on very strong as it should.With a gas sipping but large 2.5 cylinder aluminum inline 4 and intercooled turbo, it is amongst the most powerful 4 cylinder ever produced and to this day is very competitive.You get V8 power for the price of a 4 cylinder with this Porsche.In colder weather during this time of year this Porsche turbo is like a Gorilla on steroids and effortlessly devours everything in its path.Also,at only 2998 pounds and a perfect 50/50 weight distribution- this cars 0-60 is explosive and under 6 seconds. This porsche also averages 28 mpg,quite impressive numbers even by today's tough performance standards. Export can be arranged at your expense but the car is sold as is where is. You wont find this pulling up at Starbucks! This car is sold AS WHERE IS WITH NO WARRANTY.
