1987 Porsche 944 Turbo. I am selling this as a project car, but it does run and drive. I have been driving it on a daily basis for that past year and still drive it and it is very reliable. It does need a fair amount of work however. I will start with the upgrades it has then describe the repairs it will need after that. It has a Lindsey Racing MAF kit on it. Has a Mafterburner programmable fuel controller. Europroducts chips in the DME and KLR. Manual boost controller. Shimmed wastegate. High pressure fuel regulator. Narrowband air/fuel gauge and boost gauge. Head gasket was done less than 2 years ago. Timing and balance belts were done about 3 years ago. I have a kevlar timing belt for it that I have not installed yet but will include. I also have a LSD transaxle for this but 2nd gear is damaged, I will also include that transaxle if the buyer wants it. The LSD tranny was in the car recently but 2nd gear broke and I put the stock tranny back in. Has 17 inch wheels from a newer Porsche on it with Pirelli runflats. The tires are not in the greatest shape though. I also have the stock 16 inch wheels which I will also include. Also has a short shift kit on the transmission and the shifter is also cut down for shorter throw. Car has wiring run to the back for amps but I will not be including the amps and subs that are in the pics. The car runs and drives pretty good overall and I would not hesitate to take this on a long trip, but it does have some issues. First, the car runs kinda rough until it is warmed up. It seems to run a little lean at idle and hesitates a little when you first accelerate. It is fine once it warms up though. The mafterburner can be used to adjust the air/fuel ratio with a laptop and it may be something you can fine-tune if you spend enough time with it. I just don't have the time to keep playing with it and it runs good enough for me. Also, the warning light on the dash flickers on and off sometimes. I have been unable to narrow down what is causing this but there do not seem to be any issues with the engine and all of the other warning gauges and indicators work so it is probably just a loose wire or something. This also will need a muffler soon, as I have noticed it is getting a little louder at certain rpms. Brakes are ok but the front rotors should be cut or replaced. Has some oil leaks from the engine. Has some noise from the clutch/torque tube area and may need a throwout bearing or torque tube bearings but it has been like that for 3 years and hasn't really gotten any noisier. Sunroof works. AC works. Power driver seat works. This car was lightly rear-ended a couple months ago and does have some slight damage from the accident. It was hit directly on the rear bumper and has some small dents on the quarter panels behind the doors from the quarter panels getting pushed a little bit. It does not look that bad but I wanted to mention it so that people will know where the dents behind the doors came from. Also I wanted to mention it in case it does not show up in the vehicle history since it was so recent. That is the only accident it has ever been in that I am aware. I have tried to mention everything I am aware of on this vehicle, there may be other things that I have missed but I have tried to be as accurate and honest as possible. A $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of the end of the auction and the balance must be paid within 7 days, no exceptions. Vehicle has a good NJ inspection until 6-11. I will accept a check or money order for this but the buyer must wait for it to clear before pickup, I would prefer cash. Also, this is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. The paint job is not so great. The previous owner painted it. It is black cherry. It was originally black. The hood and roof are fading. It looks pretty good when it is all compounded and waxed though. It definitely has some rough spots on it. The drivers door has some bondo on it from previous damage and the bondo has a small crack in it. I am pretty sure that is the only spot on the car with bondo. Also, as mentioned before, there are some dents in the quarter panels behind the doors. They are kind of hard to see in the pics. I have a spare driver and passenger door that I can also include, as well as a spare hood. I also have an extra glass hatch for this I can throw in.
