Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I am a licensed wholesaler offering trade-in and off lease vehicles directly to the public. I personally drive each car before listing so that the information in this description is as accurate as possible. Although I try to be thorough, any prospective bidders are welcomed and encouraged to ask questions should I forget to include something or you need clarification on anything. Please ask all questions BEFORE you bid. Also before bidding, please be sure that you have funds immediately available to back your bids. Make sure to consider the logistics of picking up or shipping your new car should you be the winning bidder. My goal is to make you as comfortable as possible buying online so please make sure you are completely satisfied with this car before you bid. Today we have an unusually nice 1998 Volvo S70 GLT. Having owned several Volvos myself, I am a huge fan of these cars. Walking around the outside of this one, you will notice that it is in great physical condition. There is no rust to be found. There aren't really any scratches or dents either. This Volvo looks great all the way around. The only things I could point out on the exterior are some rash on the rear bumper from loading/unloading stuff over time and that the black plastic inserts in the bottom of the grill are gone (come to think of it I can't recall a single Volvo I owned that didn't expell these at some point). Just look at the pictures...they speak for themselves! This Volvo will look great in anyones driveway. Inside you will find a very clean and well cared for car. This S70 is equipped with power windows, power locks, power seat and power sunroof. The climate control is fully automatic with separate driver and passneger settings. The climate control works perfectly. This Volvo is equipped with the winter package which includes headlight washers and heated seats (heated seats work great). The cloth interior is in great condition. I had never had a Volvo with cloth before and I wasn't sure how I'd like it versus leather. I will be completely honest, I prefer cloth having had both. The seats are supportive, the heater is actually nicer through the cloth and they hold you better than the leather. In the glove box you will find a full set of owners manuals including the service book with all the records filled in since new. The stereo sounds great, too. The carpets and headliner are both clean. You will find the trunk to be cavernous and clean. There really isn't a bad thing to say about the inside! Again, just look at the pictures... Mechanically is where this one will blow you away. I seriously cannot speak enough about how well this car drives! The suspension is nice and tight...no squeaks, rattles or klunking. The brakes are firm and stop the car quickly and without making a scene. They are quiet, strong and make no vibration or pulsing even under heavy braking. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts flawlessly through all the gears. The transmission has a sport, economy and winter mode. The 2.4L inline five cylinder turbocharged engine is great. It starts right up and idles nice and smooth. There are no warning lights on in the dash. There are no leaks or smoke of any kind. The engine makes gobs of power and is smooth as silk, rocketing this car down the highway without breaking a sweat. Driving down the road is a breeze. This S70 is planted to the road and drives strait and smooth even at speeds well over 100mph (we won't discuss how far over, lol). All service records since new are in the service booklet. This Volvo even has a brand new PA safety and emissions inspection! Overall this is about as close to perfect you're gonna get in a 98. I have to struggle to come up with anything bad to say about this car, seriously. Please bid with complete confidence. I would drive this car anywhere without a second thought. Volvo is known for it's safety and reliability. The 2.4 Turbo engine was used in this version for about a decade. They are easy to maintain and known to go about 300,000 with proper care. This one is like new in and out and is ready to go the distance. It's been properly cared for since new so you don't have to worry about dealing with a previous owner's neglect. You get Volvo's legendary safety systems, too. I just can't say enough good about this car. BID, BID, BID! Ones like this don't come around every day. Thanks and good luck.
