Vehicle Detail
The Nissan 300ZX TT is one of the best all around packagaes you can get in a sports car, period. T-tops, Stick Shift, Twin turbo, 300 plus HP...keeps up with or beats most anything in the 30K range for a lot less dough. Mine has been tastefully modified to approximately 400 hp to the wheels, with upgrades like adjustable coilovers, drilled and slotted rotors, dual wastegates, bigger injectors, upgraded camshaft, true front mounted cold air induction, short throw shifter, upgraded radiator for added cooling support (has never overheated), Intercooler piping, and to be honest there were a few more upgrades that I do not recall that the previous owner had given me, I just dont remember what the rest of them were. A few pieces of important information... 1) The car has a killer custom paint job... it's Corvette yellow with a violet pearl undertone. What that means to anyone who dosent know what a pearl undertone is that in MOST shades of light the car appears Corvette yellow, but at certain angles and in certain light the violet/pinkish (trust me if you can't picture this its worth seeing... it's amazing) shines through the yellow and the car has a yellow/purple/slightly pink exotic look that is killer. 2) The Z has 160XX miles on the frame and body, the motor was replaced with a used 300zxtt motor from JDM engine depot that had 30k on it at the time of replacement , and has had about 5k miles since in the car. 3) When I purchased this car from the previous owner, the ebay autocheck report showed the car bieng in an accident. When I asked him about it he was shocked to hear about it, especially because it was listed as happening during his time of ownership. He assured me that it was a mistake and even verified with carfax that there are no accidents in this cars history. I'm hoping the issue has been resolved but i'm listing this just in case it shows up on the report. Below is the email between the previous owner and carfax.com resresenative: Discussion Thread Response (Mike) 06/01/2010 12:21 PM Good Afternoon, The report listed on the EBAY ad is an Autocheck Report, Autocheck is in no way affiliated with CARFAX and if there is an error listed on the Autocheck report then you would need to contact them directly to fix the error. I have reviewed the CARFAX Report and there is no reference to any accidents for this vehicle. Thank You, Mike Mitchell Resolution Manager CARFAX, Inc. Auto-Response 05/26/2010 08:52 PM Question: Answer: Current vehicle owners can submit a data correction request here to address issues quickly and easily! CARFAX receives vehicle history records from over 34,000 data sources and sometimes specific records received are inaccurate - we recognize the importance of accurate information. Customer 05/26/2010 08:52 PM I HAVE A NISSAN THAT I HAVE OWNED FOR OVER 2 YEARS AND YOUR REPORT WHICH IS ON EBAY SAYS IT HAS BEEN IN A DISABLING ACCIDENT 7/30/09. NOT THE CASE NO ACCIDENTS EVER ESCPECIALLY SINCE I HAVE OWNED IT. I AM TRYING TO SELL THIS VEHICLE SO PLEASE MAKE SURE THIS IS CORRECTED ASAP. The Z has fully functional all wheel steering (HICAS), a performance exhaust system with a hi-flow cat, and a couple of nice chrome mufflers with large tips. It has a custom stereo installed in the hatch with one 10" sub and an amp that you can not see, they are installed where the spare tire would be, the downfall is obviously you are driving without a spare..... one of those things you just deal with if you want to drive this kind of car. This is a 90's sports car that has been modified to gain HP and increase the joy of driving this car.... therefore it has some road rash on the front of the bumper/body kit.... it has blemishes on the side skirts like spider cracks and chips here and there...... it idles with a small flux, not completely smooth... but it does idle. I don't want anyone to think this car has issues because I would drive it anywhere in the US without hesitation. I drive it almost every day of the week, weather permitting, but warm weather is coming to a close for me and i'd rather sell it and get something new in the spring than store it in my garage all winter wishing I could drive it. Also, I recently had the car into a local shop that put in a brand spankin new Nissan performance clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, along with a few other things. I had the transmission removed and flushed.... the idea is that its been serviced and its ready to roll. This car is so much fun to drive, it is one of my favorite sports cars i've ever owned. The only issues at all that need attention are the starter acts up on me once and a while, so it needs to be replaced but I havent bothered with it since all I have to do is turn the key a few times and it catches... and the speedometer needle just stopped working the other day... My guess is that whoever hooked up the heads up display didnt tighten something back right, because all the rest of the gauges work as they should. I will have both of these issues repaired at a professional shop here in town before the winner leaves with the car if the reserve is met, but since they are both minor i'd rather drive it then be without it for a few days to get it fixed, unless it sells.
