Offers less than that will not include any reconditioning. This is another solid Porsche 911 Carrera 4 from the 964 series. When we got the car it had the typical oil line issues and leaked a whole bunch of oil so we took it to a mechanic to have those lines replaced. For whatever reason, this car was always last on his "to do" list so the car sat with him for 6 months. He did finish replacing the lines so it literally just had $1500 worth of good work done to it, fresh out of the shop. It has very low miles for a 1990 and features a rare color combo of atlas gray and maroon interior. We want all buyers to know as much as they can, both the good and bad. Most dealers would simply say that this car is in excellent condition for a 1990, we will provide as much detail as we can. Overall it seems like a good value car with very little issues. These 911's are always rated in the top sports cars you can get for around $20,000. As for the body, the car looks good overall but is not perfect. There are a few small dings here and there- one small one right over the passenger side healight and one small one on the hood- nothing that would show up in pictures but in the right light you will find some flaws as with most all used cars- all issues can be addressed with a good paintless dent removal technician. Also there are a few rock chips, most notably on the hood and over the rear wheel well on the driver's side and front passenger side wheel well. The rear bumper has a small imperfection in the plastic from a bump as well as some minor clear coat peeling. The hood of the car and the passenger side fender has a little surface crazing or clear coat fade that you can see in the right light which seems to wax out- perhaps a wet sand would take it away for good. NO RUST!! We have an excellent vendor that can address all of these small cosmetic issues for very little money- ask us if you want it done so you don't have to pay retail for it- you could easily get this car to showroom cosmetic condition.The wheels look pretty good and the tires look to have 65% or better tread left. The spoiler has the common hairline cracks just over the corners of the air vents near the rear window. The rear wiper was removed but is included, but it looks to need one cross member support bar, doesn't seem to be a big deal. Inside the car the carpets look clean and have no major stains or tears. NON SMOKER. The leather shows a little wear in the front seats typical for the mileage, the rear seats look perfect. The dash has no cracks- it was really dry when we got it and we have put some conditioner on it to bring back the color. The fuel gauge and oil gague (same gauge together) stopped working- don't know if it needs re-conncection or replacement- not a big deal. Also the sunroof doesn't actuate- might just be a fuse or a regulator- we just ran out of patience with our mechanic and want to sell this car before winter socks in here in Utah. The car had an aftermarket blaupunkt CD player installed but the face plate is missing. Glass is good, power windows work, spoiler actuator works, power mirrors, power seats, all seem to work great. Mechanically as mentioned the oil lines were all replaced with OEM parts. The car starts and runs strong--still pulls with good power and the AWD adds great tractions and handling. As is common with any classic Porsche, there is a small amount of oil that will drip out from the motor- maybe one or two spots after a good drive, but really this car is quite dry compared to most 964's- you learn to use a small drip pad in the garage when you own a classic 911. Even mechanics don't see much benefit in rebuilding these motors because eventually they will start to drip a little here and there regardless. I have never seen a perfectly dry one, and I've had LOTS of them. The heater works great, the AC comes on but it's not hot enough here to really test it out. Porsche AC units are not the best and typically need a freon charge at the beginning of the season because most units do leak, again I have had a bunch of these and I've only had one or two that did not require regular recharges. The transmission shifts fine and there are NO check engine lights, airbag lights, or any known issues with the car. The drive of the car is smoothe and tight but there is a slight pull to the right and a little vibration around 75 MPH- feels like the car just needs a balance and alignment to work those bugs out. Again, noted issues in the RED PRINT at the beginning of the listing will all be taken care of at the buy it now price if you want a hassle free purchase. If you don't mind doing a little work yourself, you can save a little money by taking the car as is. The only issues we have ever had is from buyers who never ask questions, don't come to pick up their car in person, and have unrealistic expectations for a car they are buying sight unseen.
