This is a 1978 toyota landcruiser fj40.1978 is considered to be the best most refined fj40 before they went to stricter emmissions and 3.73 gears.This is a very original example,and has never been modified.Strong running 2f with 103k original miles,recent tuneup,has all emmissions and vacuum lines,air pump,egr,etc.Nice smooth shifting 4 spd,strong brakes(disc front).This has been a california truck for about 15 years,but was from back east originally,so it has the typical rust issues,the front drivers floor board has a hole by the gas pedal(Have complete floor patch panel)and the rear floor is bad.The rear of the tub looks like it was patched,repaired at some point,so externally it looks ok,but it really needs a rear tub replacemant to do it right.this is a running,driving,reliable daily driver that can be used as is or restored at some point.It is very hard to find these late model fj40's in original condition,this would be an easy restoration due to all the original items intact.Original rustic green.The rear frame has some issues at the shackles and will need to be addressed at some point.Clean california title,regi is out about a year and a half and will need a smog test in california.Please ask questions before bidding,I have this for sale locally,so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.This will be sold to the highest bidder with NO RESERVE!!!On Nov-10-10 at 12:03:20 PST, seller added the following information: Added a better pic of the fj40 and forgot to mention,all the lights,heaters,wipers,horn,backup lights,work and the wiring is all original and in great shape.
