This 2001 Mercedes-Benz S430 (275 HP) would make a good commuter / Road trip car as it handles superb on the freeway, or on any other road and is a pretty care free car to own and operate. This car mechanically starts, runs, and drives really quite well. The motor runs as it should without any noticable problems, the transmission shifts as it should, while the steering alignment, and braking systems all seem to be right on as well. Being a Mercedes it has good handling and is a pretty Luxurious car to drive with a comfortable ride. It also has a cd changer in the trunk and good tread on all 4 tires. This is an extremely elegant car to drive as a luxury sedan, not to mention the look of elegance. I would say you can drive this thing across the country without any issues. The MSRP on this car brand new in its day was $70800.00 ( It is a Luxury car) This car has everything and is Fully Loaded, and ready to roll. All and all, this is a garage queen, and as far as we can tell it only has 2 small dings in the front driver door, and light scratches, as it is almost a 10 yr old car. It should be a very reliable commuter / road trip car and I have to emphasize again It is simply a very luxurious car. It starts every time and runs like a champ. The only issues we have ever had is from buyers who never ask questions, don't come to pick up their car in person, and have unrealistic expectations for a car they are buying sight unseen.
