This peppy little 3 series would make a good commuter car as it averages 40 MPG on the freeway and is a pretty care free car to own and operate. This car shows its age with wear and tear items like fading paint, dents and dings, some cracks in the leather seats, a hole in the rear plastic window of the convertible top, cracked windshield, AC unit needs charge, and other small cosmetic items, but mechanically it starts, runs, and drives really quite well. We put a new clutch in it and the motor really runs solidly. Being a BMW it has good handling and is a pretty sporty feeling car to drive. It also has a cd changer in the trunk and decent tread on all 4 tires. I would say you can drive this thing across the country without issues. The temp holds steady and there are no check engine lights. The power windows all work. The top is manually operated, not motorized. All and all, this is not a garage queen by any means, it needs some TLC but should be a very reliable commuter and I have to emphasize again that at 40 MPG you can save BIG MONEY by driving this little Bimmer. It starts every time and runs like a champ. Please come see the car in person or ask if you have any questions prior to bidding as all sales are final. The only issues we have ever had is from buyers who never ask questions, don't come to pick up their car in person, and have unrealistic expectations for a car they are buying sight unseen.
