You are bidding on a wonderful 1985 Mercedes Benz 380 SL V-8 Roadster. This car has a squeaky-clean Car-Fax. The car has 82,164 miles on it. It does not leak any oil, nor does it burn any oil. I have records back to the year 2000, and they are pictured. Our Mercedes is a driver. It has been well kept, and always garaged, waxed, and kept clean. It has zero rust anywhere. It was, at one point, given upgraded wheels, as today there are 15” Mercedes Benz 560 SL wheels on it. The original 14” spare is still in the trunk. It has the original hard top. It is in storage, so you’ll have to trust me when I say that it is clean and unscratched. The original soft top is in excellent condition as you can see from the photos. It has an upgraded Alpine stereo and sounds wonderful. The tires are as-new. I have owned a 560SL and I can attest that the 380SL is a better car. It is quicker off the line, both because it is slightly lighter, and because of the lack of smog and the better gearing of the 85 3.8. This is a wonderful car. You won’t be disappointed by this car. Like all older SLs, this one has the dings just aft of the hard top, where people have bumped the rear valance while taking off the hard top. Better to leave it off, I say, and just use the soft top. And, the windshield-washer fluid tank cap has broken off. I’ll replace that before you take her home. Other than that, this car needs nothing. It is a wonderful car, and beautiful in it’s cabernet-red paint and palomino interior. Start her up. Let the motor rumble and go. This is cruising like it is meant to be.
