Vehicle Detail
1987 Honda Rebel 250 Up for sate we have a very serviceable 1987 Honda Rebel 250. She’s no beauty queen but is very dependable and I’ve commuted from my house to Washington DC (30 freeway miles each way) on many occasions with absolutely no problems/issues. Just need to pucker up and enjoy the ride. 70 mph in DC metro area traffic in the HOV lanes on a 250 takes courage and is not for everyone. That being said, she’d make a great starter/learner bike and while small is fun to ride. Please, please, please read the entire listing including “The Fine Print” section and ask all questions before you bid. I’ve been as up front and honest as possible in describing the bike so ask before you commit to anything. The Good: 18,932 original miles Passed Virginia State Safety Inspection in June 2010 Clymer repair manual included Rider and passenger seats 2 years old Final drive chain 4 months old Front brake pads 16 months old Rebel specific passenger back rest installed (see pictures) Rebel specific crash bar not installed Pleather saddlebags with Rebel specific after market saddlebag mounting rails After market handlebars After market leather tool bag on left side with original Honda factory tool kit (see pictures) After market exhaust, 2-into-2 with both exiting right side of bike (see pictures) The Bad: Some minor surface rust on the front wheel Chrome has pealed off the spokes due to age Front fender has a dent but does not interfere with the front wheel (see pictures) Paint is tired and not all bright and shiny Front and rear tires have weathering cracks in sidewalls but the bike passed the afore mentioned Virginia State Safety Inspection with these Final Comments: Keep in mind what this bike is and is not. It runs, rides, and stops just fine and all lights work as they should. However, this is not a big cruiser or a chick magnet, nor is it a road rocket. The Fine Print: 1) I reserve the right to end the auction early as the bike is for sale locally. 2) There is no warranty either expressed or implied. 3) I cannot help with shipping beyond being home when your shipping company arrives. 4) Full payment due within 5 days of end of auction. 5) Payment via Paypal or cash. NO personal checks, money orders, etc. 6) $250 non-refundable Paypal deposit due from winning bidder within 24-hours of auction ending. 7) If you’re local to the DC area you can pick her up and pay the full amount in cash then but again within 5 days. 8) If you win and decide not to pay I will post negative feedback. We’re all adults here so please no stories about Mom suddenly needing life-saving surgery or Uncle Elmer falling off the roof. 9) I will not store this bike for you. You win, come and get her and take her home.
