You are looking at a 2001 red Ford Escape.This vehicle is in great interior/exterior condition, no rips on the seats, but it does have some rust on the running boards.However, it is in need of a new transmission. (see below)It has a sunroof as well as power window/locks.It has around 154,000 miles.It has had one owner and was owned by a non-smoker.The inspection is good until March 2011.It has had routine oil changes.I have replaced 2 ignition coils, and fixed an oil leak.It is sold as-is and has no warranty on it. Estimated cost of a new transmission is $2500-$3200 Here is the dealer's diagnosis of transmission problem:O/D light flashes at times: usually after 15 minutes of drivingPerform Transmission electrical diagnosis: retrieve code P1741 Trouble CodeMonitor transmission performance while road testing. Verify slip in 2-3 gear and also hear a mechanical noise from planetary gears.Transmission would need removed and disassembled to determine exact failure.Recommend Remanufactured transmission based on mileage on this trans as the best repair method. I have all paperwork for this diagnosis, as well as other paperwork collected throughout the years. Please Note: Buyer assumes responsibility of pick-up and hauling vehicle. The buyer will also be responsible for all title transfer fees, and taxes.
