Vehicle Detail
You are viewing a beautiful (rare) Austin Healey 3000, BN7 two seat convertible. This car has just completed a complete ground up restoration in our shop. The BN7 version of the Austin Healey was manufactured from 1960 thru 1962, with a total production of around 2800 units. This car was built in 1960, and registered as a 1961. There were two versions of the BN-7 know as the Mark 1 and Mark 2 versions. This car was initially built as a Mark 1 car, during the restoration I decided to update the car to the Mark 2 specifications and appearance. This is a great driving car that is well sorted and fast! BMC, British Motor Corporation is a British car restoration business located in Philadelphia, PA. Our business is known for high quality restorations of Classic cars. We have specialized in the restoration of Austin Healey, Jaguar, MG and Triumph since 1988. Our clients have won numerous awards for our restorations at local, regional and national shows. This year at the regional Austin Healey Encounter held at Blue Bell, PA in August. We took first place in all three show classifications we entered. To top off the day, we also received the Best in Show award. We also won numerous other first place awards this year at regional Concours events such as Stowe and Vanderbuilt to name two. This car was re-built to very high standards which included a bare metal strip of the entire body, and chassis. All steel panels were sandblasted to insure that any rust or foreign matter was removed. The chassis and body were rebuilt to proper dimension with perfect panel fit and finish. During the rebuild of the car all aspects of the Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulics, Interior, Top, Side Curtains and Fuel system were replaced or rebuilt to like new standards. Complete photos of the restoration are available to the successful bidder.
