This is a 1972 VW Super Beetle up for auction. The car has been doing more sitting than anything else for the last few years so here it is. It has a vintage Sun Tachometer and a nice Scat T-Handle Shifter. As shown in the pics it will come with VW hubcaps and a set of spun aluminum style wheel covers. The car fires up fine and drives ok although a fresh tune-up couldn't hurt. It has an aftermarket air cleaner on it but a factory air cleaner assembly will be included. It also has a nice vintage Bugpack breather on it. The interior is mostly intact but the headliner and seats do have rips and tears in them. It has rust in all of the common places including around the right rear fender/quarter panel, around the inside edges of the rocker panels/running boards and at the bottoms of the trunk and hood. The right front fender is buckled in and rusted from hitting a deer a couple years ago. The windshield has a crack in it at the lower left corner. Everything mentioned here is shown in the pictures but there are some other small dings and spots on the car that may not be visible in the pictures. The car does not belong to me, it has been owned and driven by a 65+ year old gentleman for the last several years so if you need any additional information or pictures just send me an email, I'll ask and get back to you ASAP. On Oct-18-10 at 19:13:43 PDT, seller added the following information: To answer a couple questions: 1) Yes, there is some rust in the floor pans. Not as bad as a lot of these cars but there is rust. The rear passenger side floorpan has been patched with a sheet of metal bolted or riveted on. 2) The tires have some tread left on them, they are definitely not new but they aren't completely bald either.
