Vehicle Detail
Here is my lovely 1979 Chevy Silverado K10 up for sale. I have had this truck for only about 3 years now, but have put quite a bit of time and effort to keep her beautiful and growling. The owner before me did most of the restoration and lift work, but I have been maintaining and keeping her up to standards for a while. She runs perfect, no knocks or rattles. Transmission is in excellent shape, along with an aftermarket cooler: COMPLETELY REBUILT BY AAMCO TRANSMISSION TREVOSE PA ON AUGUST 31 2010: no slips and 4WD works great. Although shes 31 years old, theres very little rust and only a few paint blemishes. Most of the chrome and clearcoat outshines any defects. Far from stock, this isn't a natural classic, but the 5-point racing seats and insane lift are great show qualities, and much better for driving fun. This is no Barrett-Jackson, and has a few minor flaws, but I'm also not asking $10k+ for it. Mileage says 85000, but I honestly cannot be sure since I haven't owned it for its entire life and it rolls over at 100,000. The engine could be rebuilt, I don't know. I know it has a high-lobe cam that keeps it idling nice and low. It runs like it has 85k on it for sure. The truck has limitless potential, and never ceases to turn heads while driving by. I'll be transferring to California next year, and won't be able to bring the truck there (California's smog regs are too much for this beast). She has a classic title, so there are no annual registration or emissions fees except the initial registration. It does qualify as a PA Antique, but I prefer the classic regulations. Annual inspection is required still. Here's a short list of the details: Fresh PA inspection good till 4/2011. Emissions exempt on classic registration vehicles. Classic title transfer is around $90 I think. Starter was replaced last year, and the transmission cooler lines have been recently replaced. Transmission fluid and transfer case fluid have recently been flushed and changed. I also have a set of brand new rear brake shoes for it(had them just in case). cosmetic flaws: small paint chips behind tires (filled in with acrylic enamel of same color), under-door paint divets from post-restoration, 2"x 6" paint patches above rear tail lights, 3" circle paint patch on drivers spoiler mount 3" circle paint patch on roof (keeps corrosion off and unnoticeable from 10 feet on all marks) Overall, awesome truck, great amateur show-piece, minor flaws, but worth the price. I know what this truck's worth, like I said- I'm not asking $10k. Email me if you have any questions- I know I put a lot of info, but I'd rather have it all out to not waste our time. eddyriener@yahoo.com Please click the thumbnails to see a larger view Keywords: Chevy Chevrolet Classic Truck 4x4 Lifted 1979 79 '79 Pickup K10 Offroad
