You are bidding on a 1987 Mercedes-Benz 300 SDL TURBO Sedan. This RARE model was imported into the U.S. for the years 1986 through 1992 ONLY. The one offered here was built for the U.S. market in Stuttgart, Germany in November, 1986. This sedan was delivered to the ORIGINAL purchaser through the Mercedes-Benz Authorized Dealer, Bolen Imports of Oklahoma City for $47,000. I am the second owner and I purchased the vehicle with 91,783 miles directly from the ORIGINAL OWNER. Service Records go with the car. The vehicle now has 149,3XX miles and has been garaged by both owners as well as serviced by Merecedes-Benz and Silver Star Imports Inc. The SDL insignia tells the story: S=Sedan, D=Diesel, L=L O N G Wheel Base. These long wheel based Model 126 sedans run "Smooth As Glass" on the Interstate and provide an EXCEPTIONALLY Comfortable ride. This RARE model is also equipped with the POWER REAR SEAT ADJUSTMENT OPTION. Due to it's extended length the leg room in the rear compartment is very comfortable. The Exterior Paint is ORIGINAL and carries the Mercedes Color Code 702 Smoke Silver. Because the vehicle has been in the Oklahoma climate and garaged since NEW there is no rust, fading, or peeling of paint, and the paint finish is beautiful. The same can be stated regarding the FACTORY wheels and body chrome. The tires are all Michelin and have 75% of the tread wear left.The spare is new. The FACTORY Radio and Power Antenna work perfectly and the sound system is flawless. The A/C blows COLD and is delivered through the correct vents. The same can be stated for the Heater and the Defroster. The Air Conditioner System also incorporates the option of RECYCLING interior air when traveling through a tunnel or passing through an area with offensive odors. The Interior is ORIGINAL and the Mercedes Color Code is 277 Rose Red. The dash pad, headliner, door panels, arm rest, kick pads, sun visors, carpet, and floor mats look very presentable and show NO SIGNS of tears, cracks, blemishes, or fading. The window glass is all ORIGINAL and has all the Mercedes factory imprints. All of the power windows work perfectly. The Sunroof does not LEAK and does no operate/work. The Cruise Control works intermittently. These two features are not important to me, but if they are to you, please consider before you bid. I have no idea what is wrong or what cost may be involved in correcting either of them. This 300 SDL TURBO is NOT your typical worn-out, abused and neglected Mercedes. This car has been meticulously cared for and pampered by the current owner of 11 years, as it was by it's ORIGINAL owner for 11 years.
