I am the original and only owner of this classic vehicle (and yes I have clear title) which I picked up from the dealer on 10/30/78. I never envisioned that 32 years later I would still be in possession of my first new car but a twist of fate took its course. The car has never been driven during any winter weather, never smoked in, and has been garaged its entire life. It starts up first try every time and still purrs like a kitten. The current set of tires has been driven less than 9,000 miles. Most everything is still original on the car with the exception of the customary battery, tires, and in this instance - paint. I had to have the car repainted in 1996 because the clear 'BodyGlo' paint sealant the dealer had applied when new (which meant the car never needed waxing) had deteriorated and spider-cracked to the point of distraction when looking at the vehicle. The paint shop did a very good but not perfect job (there's a little bit of paint on the body side moldings, a little overspray on the exhaust pipe). The car is in excellent condition for a 32-year old vehicle, but there are some items that reflect its age. Here are my observations: · Air conditioning does not blow cold · Quartz clock in dashboard does not work · Power antenna is 'fickle' (goes up fine, but doesn't always go down on first try) · Rear carpet does show some fading from the sun (occurred before sun shield was purchased) · Driver's seat shows some wear (see picture) · Driver's side carpet has a small spot worn bare (see picture) · Age-faded on some plastic such as passenger door/window handles (see picture) · Original dealer installed cassette player doesn't work · Metal trim under wipers has paint worn away (see picture) · Rubber door moldings show some deterioration but it does not affect door seal (see picture) · Owner installed fog lamps (see pictures) are not currently working · Some very small dings here and there and one paint scratch (see picture) · One of the oil hoses (to the oil cooler) is dripping a small amount of oil. Haven't determined if hose is loose or needs to be replaced. Overall, the car is still very much a 'head-turner' when people see it. As you can tell from the pictures, it still has a showroom quality to it. It would be great to find a new home for it with someone who appreciates this vintage vehicle and could give it the time and attention it deserves. The winning bidder needs to provide a $250 PayPal deposit within 48 hours of the end of the auction. Full payment must be received within 7 days after the auction ends or I reserve the right to relist the vehicle. I also reserve the right to end the auction early as the vehicle is also for sale locally. CAR IS SOLD AS-IS! There are no warranties expressed or implied. Buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping.
