1992 Golf GTI 8v with 68k original miles. This is a commuter/daily driver for me until last week when it failed to start. I will be taking offers based on car AS IS, but could change once care is running again. I'm selling it because I would like to put money into my muscle car project. The car has what I would call a small amount of rust for 18yrs old. The underbody and shock towers are excellent. This is a great starting point for someone looking to do a restore or make a full blown tuner VW. GOOD: Body\motor has only 68k. Engine and car electrical is in tact and original. Good brakes and clutch. Trans shifts smoothly, no grinding or slippage. Seats are good, no stains or tears. Carpet would be considered excellent for the age of the car. New oil pump and oil sensor, new timing belt w/tensioner pulley. Floor boards, strut towers and spare tire well have NO rust. Sunroof does not leak, wipers, heat and defrost work. Replaced plugs, timing belt/tensioner, Coolant temp sensor, rotor button and cap along with air filter. No rust on critical areas like underbody and srut towers. Original window sticker and docs for that person looking to restore. Clean MI title in hand. BAD: CAR DOES NOT CURRENTLY RUN.. Needs struts and shocks as these are probably the originals on the vehicle, but NEW raceland springs included with car. Headliner needs work replacement. Paint and body fall in line with a car of this age, rust on passenger wheel arch found when fixing molding. Missing shift boot. A/C needs charge, but winter is coming. Missing some molding. Needs exhaust work, but rear muffler is new. Car may be viewed before bidding for local ebayers.
