Vehicle Detail
A Very Rare AMC Eagle, Up for auction, 1 of 454 sedans built in 1987, possibly 1 of 1 equipped like it. 1987 was the last year of AMC as a independent car company. This Eagle was made in the last series of sedans to carry the AMC nameplate. The 1988 Model wagon was made by Chrysler. This car is all original, and has been very well maintained. It runs and drives as new. Has only 79K miles. I purchased this car from the second owner who purchased it in 1991 with 40K on it. Prior to my purchasing it he replaced all the hoses, and belts, tires, brakes, shocks, exhaust, and rear springs, he said they were too soft. The car has been garaged and well kept since day 1. I am only selling this car because my wife will only let me have 2 AMC collector cars, and I found a Marlin that I have to have. So someone will get a VERY nice Eagle to show or drive, or both. This car has a very strange variety of options. It of course has the sturdy 258 straight 6 cyl engine, and bulletproof Chrysler automatic transmission. The Select Trac 4x4 works great via a dash switch. It has The individual reclining seats with a power seat on the drivers side, cruise control, AM/FM stereo, factory Marchal fog lights, factory skid plates, and rear defogger, and ICE COLD A/C The car was Ziebarted at the factory and the previous owner had it done again. This car has no rust or rot. The interior is near perfect, the only bad spot is on the drivers seat bolster where all Eagles and Concords wear. The headliner is perfect, and it is a non-smoker so no burns or smells. The body is excellent no rust, a few minor scratches on the body cladding. To make the car perfect you would need to replace the vinyl top as it is wrinkling around the quarter windows as all of these cars do. It is fine as a driver and I can detect no rust under the top. I have driven this car on several long trips and would not hesitate to drive cross country in it. This truly a survivor and one of a kind. You chance to own a piece of AMC history and get a great car to boot. Please e-mail me with any questions. I reserve the right to end the sale early as it is for sale locally. I require a $1000. non refundable deposit via paypal within 24 hours of auction close. If you are a zero feedback please contact me before you bid. So if you cant buy, PLEASE don't bid Happy bidding
