The L48, 350ci engine delivers the horsepower with a pure muscle car sound recogizable by any Corvette enthusiast. Don't miss this classic C3 Collector car (only 4,629 Corvette Convertibles originally sold) being offered at NO RESERVE. One of the last C3 convertibles built. The exterior is in great daily driver condition. The Mille Miglia Red Clearcoat finish is bright and shines great; there are a few minor scratches but they don't detract from the overall condition, which is amazing for a car this age. The viynl saddle interior is good condition overall with no rips or tears on the seats, only minor wear from normal use but generally looks great. The trim is showing its age but presentable. The white vinyl convertible top is original with one small 1/2 inch tear. The engine sounds absolutely amazing! It starts immediately with no smoke or odd noises and is extremely responsive. The power brakes are firm and tight and the automatic transmission smoothly shifts into gear just as you would expect. The Goodyear Eagle GTSII tires have 80% tread remaining and are mounted on stock Corvette ralley wheels. This baby runs and drives great! The front end has been rebuilt and the steering is impeccable. It's perfect for a fun daily driver. The five-digit odometer registers just over 59 thousand miles. I did have to replace it last year after returning from the "Corvettes Across America" trip to Bowling Green, Kentucky. Just as the odemeter was about to roll over to 100 thousad miles the dang thing started clicking and wouldn't roll over. I purchased and installed one off Ebay with 56 thousad miles on it. The true mileage is 103 thousand (I do have the original speedometer). The heater/defroster works great on all speeds. The A/C does not blow cold but we always ride with the top down (after all, it is a convertible). The tachometer does not work. Needs a new tach board, I replaced the tach filter but to no avail. Wipers work perfectly on both speeds. The after market Corvette radio/cassette player works fine. The tilt/telescopic steering wheel is unique and adjusts for the perfect reach. Even though this Vette may be new to you, that doesn't change the fact that it is a used car and repairs can be needed at any time regardless of how short a time period you have owned the car.
