The 1978 FJ40 was arguably the best year for the FJ 40 Land Cruiser. Yhe hard to find Mustard Yellow FJ40 in excellent condition both mechanically and cosmetically. Adult owned and stored in winter. Always maintained and updated with original Toyota parts.The 2F 6 cylinder engine has 91,000 original miles and it runs like a top. Starts, idols and accelerates very well. This motor will go on and on.The drive train is super tight and has been updated with new shocks, new tie rods and steering stabilizer. Drives very well down the road or hwy.It has a new battery, new SOR seat covers, front and rear, new brakes and master cylinder, new clutch, new hoses and belts. Completely tuned up with points, plugs and wires. There is new PPG single stage 532 (Mustard Yellow) paint from Toyota. It is a beautiful Mustard FJ 40 that turns heads anywhere you drive.There is absolutely no rust on this 78' It has lived in the west its entire life and it shows. The tires are brand new and will be the tires shown in the last photo. They are Wild Country Radials in perfect condition. The FJ rides much better with these tires and the American rims (not the later model rims as shown). The FJ will be sold with the new Wild Country tires and American Racing rims, not the original 1981 wheels and tires. If you like the "tougher look" of the BFG Muds, you will have to put those on after you purchase.This is a very nice 1978 FJ 40 which looks and drives like new.I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime.
