Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1966 Lincoln Continental Business Coupe. This is a rust free original California car that has the original 462 MEL motor in the car which runs well, an aluminum radiator has been added, new plugs, wires, electronic ignition, edelbrock carb, custom exhaust, custom upper and lower radiator hoses, and front and rear brakes and wheel cylinders are are recently replaced. The car has power windows that all function(the driver switch panel has been updated to different switches, I have replacement OEM switches that will be included) the car has a/c but has been removed, all the brackets and hoses will be included along with the rebuilt compressor, all thats needed is the condensor and a/c muffler to complete. The heater works and most of the vacuum lines have been gone thru. the speed control works but I believe it need a new cable to make it operative, also has power door locks and power seats which need little work to make 100% functional. The car needs a new rear view mirror due to the shattering from the lovely las vegas heat. Carpet needs to be replaced finally after 44 years and a brand new carpet kit will be included with the car. The original rubber Lincoln floor mats are included along with records dating back to the 60's. even the original owners manual comes with it. The car has been repainted to a gray color (originally white) by the previous owner and with that they removed all the emblems except the hood ornament and lock cylinders(driverside works but needs to be replaced), and most of the emblems will be included with the car as well. The stereo system has been updated to a nice cd/mp3 deck with new speakers front and rear with 2 subs in a custom box in the trunk. Custom car cover will be included and The original stereo will come with the car. The wheels and tires were changed to 17x8.5 front and 17.10 Rear American Racing Torque Thurst 2-piece polished aluminum wheels with 255/60/17 front and 275/55/17 rear Hankook brand tires which are in great condition, they will come with the bullet center caps and tri-spoke center caps also. The previous owner re-covered the rear deck panel with a leopord print material but can easily be re-done but the rest of the interior is original with very little wear and tear, with the original red with white and chrome trim leather seats that have no tears or rips, the dash has a few cracks as expected over 44years but have a dash cover installed, the headliner is the original white perforated vinyl and just a couple of tears by the visor. The door panels and rear quarter panels are all original with ashtrays and lighters still in tack along with the lights on the door and are all in great shape except the driver door arm rest needs to be recoverd. The rubber door/window seals need to be replaced as they have dried out but have not had a leak issue in the rain, just a little wind noise. The car has the origianl jack still in the oem spot. I also have a set of 22x8.5 front and 22x10 rear Agio 2-piece forged aluminum wheels brushed center with polished lips, and have 265/30/22 Pirelli P-zero Nero front tires and 295/25/22 Pirelli P-Zero Nero rear tires (one rear needs to be replaced),these will be aditional if the winner wants them($1000.00)(these will not be included with this auction unless purchased for the aditional price. Unfortunetly with tough times im forced to sell this beauty, the winner can easily make this car a hot rod, rat rod, or even restore it with very little effort. The NADA values this car at $30,000.00 if restored and $7,000.00 at its current condtion so its a steal at the reserve I have it at. I have tried to include as much information as I could so the buyer is informed, I also inlcuded as many pictures that I have of the car too.
