So please read the listing!!!!!! ON THIS AUCTION THERE WILL NOT BE A BUY IT NOW DETAILS [TOP] Honda CB 125 S 1980 236 miles Garage Kept - NO RESERVE Before you bid, PLEASE remember if you win this you do need to pay for it. This is now being re-run for the 3rd time due to non paying bidders. Only bid if you plan to pay for it. Thanks!!! This motorcycle has had only 1 owner. The family purchased it and as you can see used it only for a few hundred miles that first year and then never used it again. It has been in a garage for its whole life, so it has never seen rain, snow, or salt. The bike has not been on the road since the early 80's and no one has paid it any attention since then. ITS SOLD HERE picked up the bike right from the garage that it has been stored in and the family that is selling it has decided to DONATE THE WHOLE SALE right to a local school. In fact, the check is going from us right to the charity. This is from a very respectable family!!!! When we brought the bike in we decided to try and get it up and running. We ordered and installed a BRAND NEW battery. We started to polish it to show that the rust is surface rust and not deep down rust. Thus far almost all the age marks are coming off. I'm not making a promise that it will polish up the same as brand new, but I can tell you that it will look very close to new. The gas tank still had gas in it, but the shut off valve was in the closed position. We tried to clean the tank out with fresh gas, but it is still very yucky inside. There is a clog as well. We are guessing that the gunk is preventing the gas from flowing through the valve. We also noticed that the throttle cable is not working. It may just need a cleaning, but we are not a repair shop, so we just do not know how involved this could be. We checked the oil an WOW, its still like new. We did not change it, but we know you should once you get it. With the help of a little starting fluid spayed into the air intake, she turned right over. This bike does not have a electric ignition, so it was kick started. It started on the 3rd try...NOT BAD for something that has been sitting for so long..... THIS IS WHY YOU BUY HONDA. They know how to build motors!!! When we opened the air filter box, we noticed how old that air filter was, and wow it needs to go. It is falling apart and the bike SHOULD NEVER be used with that on there, it will fall apart and get sucked into the intake, so please pull it asap. Beyond the little rust by the fuel valve on the tank, we see no issues with this old girl. She is a real show stopper. As many of our customer can tell you we, have this sitting at the front of our store and it has been with us a few months now, while we were getting ready to list it. We have had so many clients stop by asking if we will just sell it, and as we told them, we are going to auction it, so please do not email us offers. This sale is for charity, so please bid and the highest bidder will win, fair and square. Call us or email us or STOP BY. Internet data about this model The Honda CB125 was a 122 cc motorcycle manufactured by Honda from 1971-1985. The CB125 came in two major versions the '71-75 "S" version and the '76 and later "J" version although the bikes in the US retained the S designation. It features an overhead camshaft (OHC) engine with a 9500 rpm redline and offers 100 mpg. It could comfortably maintain speeds of 55 mph and had a top speed of around 65 mph. The engine could last tens of thousands of miles with only minimal attention; however, the oil had to be changed regularly (700 miles) to prevent premature wear of the camshaft bearings. The newer "J" model sported a two piece head, 124cc displacement, and a larger carburetor, but it did not perform as well as the earlier models. The CB125S'80 was sold in 1980 and came in one color: Light Ruby Red. The "HONDA" decal and stripe were gold with a black outline. The "CB125S" side cover decal was gold and red with a black outline. The fenders were also Red. The turn signal housings were black plastic. The instruments had just a speedometer. The ignition used breaker points. The engine was a 124cc OHC single cylinder with a 2-piece cylinder head linked to a 5-speed transmission. The serial number began JC04-5100001. Please take a good look at the pictures.
